Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Examination Development, the Examination Resource Coordinator (ERC) ensures the quality of the ADC written and practical examination item banks and the integrity of the examination processes. Directly liaising with a range of dental and other health professionals, the ERC will assist in the delivery of programs for creation of new examination items (questions) and the review of existing examination items and examiner performance. The primary contact for item writers, the ERC will also facilitate item writer training and resources and examiner calibration projects. The position supports the Manager, Examination Development in the preparation of content for examinations and monitoring data integrity throughout the examination process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of examination items and processes.
  • Provide editorial feedback and qualitative comments on examination items, in line with writing conventions.
  • Deliver feedback and performance reports to item writers, and assist with item writing workshops (in-person and online).
  • Contribute to the preparation, input, and delivery of written and practical examination content.
  • Assist with data analysis, cross-checking, and release of examination results.
  • Provide administrative support to the practical examination delivery team.
  • Manage stakeholders through a Customer Relation Management (CRM) system.
  • Prepare reports and meeting papers as directed by the Manager, Examination Development.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven ability to work and liaise with a range of individuals and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and editorial skills.
  • High level of focus and attention to detail.
  • High level computer skills (especially advanced Word, advanced Excel and relational database experience).
  • Proven ability to work both individually and collaboratively with staff at all levels.
  • Proven ability to independently organise work priorities, monitor workflow and meet busy schedules.
  • Proven ability to ensure compliance with protocols and documentation.
  • Proven ability to problem solve.
  • Qualifications or experience relevant to a registerable dental profession and/or competency assessments is desirable.
